Kristi Godwin had a call on her life at a young age, and believes God revealed her purpose to her at age 12, when she accepted Jesus into her heart. In pursuit of her purpose, she sought the educational tools needed to equip her to work with troubled youth, studying psychology to become a children’s counselor. After working in the field for some time she realized that the community leaves a large gap through which the most at-risk youth are falling into darkness and oblivion. She founded the non-profit organization, Arms Wide Open Ministries, Inc., in 2008, as a way to help fill this gap.

This ministry seeks to love all youth, regardless of background or history, with ARMS WIDE OPEN, sharing with them the Gospel and the unconditional love of Christ. This ministry, directed by Kristi, holds Bible studies, transports teens to church, transports teens to various field trips and events (such as Christian concerts), and also holds a free summer camp each year. Kristi is a licensed therapist, holding a B.A. in Psychology, a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy, and also has a doctorate in Public Administration. She began studying and training in the spiritual aspects of inner and physical healing in 2010, furthering this study by enrolling in the School of Supernatural Ministry under Kingdom Equipping Ministries in 2013.

Through KEM and BSSM she received additional training in inner and physical healing, as well as activation of the spiritual gifts, particularly through marketplace ministry. With the support of KEM, Kristi has worked to share her knowledge of the Kingdom with the teens she ministers to, at times teaching the BSSM curriculum as well as taking them to KEM ministry events. Kristi was ordained as a minister of the Gospel through KEM in 2015.
