During the 1970s and 1980s, the Church experienced a rediscovery of the Ephesian 4:11-12 paradigm, with a special emphasis upon the office gifts of modern-day apostles and prophets. These ascension gifts came to be known as the “office gifts” for church government in many charismatic churches around the world. However, as time passed and the church matured, a shift occurred in understanding this passage of scripture. The result was a move from the office of the gift to the function of the gift. The text stated that these ascension gifts should “equip the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4:12). During the 2000s, the Spirit of the Lord seemed to be highlighting the day of the saint. The question for the Church became, “Will you provide opportunity for the saints to be taught, trained, equipped, and released into their destiny?”

In 2002, Terry Shiver birthed Kingdom Equipping Ministries (KEM) to help the local church re-establish its pioneering authority through training the saints for effectiveness in the Kingdom of God. To this end, KEM established training centers/schools that help every believer realize their full potential. To reach this goal, KEM has developed a curriculum of “teaching and doing.” Each semester offers a variety of subjects which include Biblical Theology, the Gifts of the Spirit, the Kingdom of God, Leadership, Apostolic/Missional Principles, Prophetic Ministry, Inductive Bible Study Method, Inner Healing, Theology of Healing, and many others. These classes will be offered to communities on-line or at our live campus sites. Additionally, we use the Bethel School of the Supernatural material of Redding, Ca., Randy Clark’s Global Awakening material, Shawn Bolz’s material, and a host of live teachers.

During your time with KEM, you will be taught, trained, and released to do “the work of the ministry.” Throughout your learning experience, you will interact with the local church environment and in the marketplace. You will be taught the Kingdom of God mandate of “go to them.” Thereby there will be several opportunities of foreign and local mission endeavors. Our ministry method will challenge, stimulate, and help fulfill your yearning to be all that God wants you to be!!!
